LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) – Four-time NCAA champion Kelsey Worrell is one step away from making the US Olympic Swim team.
The 21 year old UofL star won her semifinal Sunday in the 100-meter butterfly at the US Olympic Swim trails in Omaha, Nebraska. Her victory qualified her as the second seed in Monday’s final. The top two swimmers from that race make the US Olympic team.
Worrell won her semifinal with a time of 57.12.
She is trying to become the first swimmer from the University of Louisville to make the US Olympic swim team.
