LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police have arrested a Louisville man on a charge of wanton endangerment.

Timothy Sanders, 38, is accused of using narcotic drugs while a 3-year-old girl, who police say is his fiancee's daughter, was in his care. He was arrested Saturday in the area of South Brook Street and East Ormsby Avenue.

The official arrest report says police responded to the intersection of South Brook Street and East Ormsby Avenue, where officers found Sanders lying unconscious on the sidewalk. Authorities say the child was also present.

Officials administered the drug naloxone to Sanders, and he regained consciousness after about five minutes, according to police.

Police say a caller stated that she witnessed Sanders with the young girl. The child was "trying to wake him up, and yelling daddy."

Sanders is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections. According to the Metro Corrections website, he is also charged with receiving stolen property and theft by unlawful taking.
