Louisville native Bryson Tiller scores big at 2016 BET Awards

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville native scored big at the 2016 BET Awards Sunday night.

According to the BET Web site, alternative R&B singer Bryson Tiller took home the award for Best New Artist.

"The Louisville, Kentucky native's feat comes off a successful year in 2015 that included the release of his debut album, TRAPSOUL," explained a Forbes article. "The debut moved approximately 34,000 units in its first week and eventually went platinum in April of 2016."
