Suspects in Old National Bank robbery appear in court
Three people suspected of robbing an east end bank last week were in court Monday.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Three people suspected of robbing an east end bank last week were in court Monday.
Police say the Old National Bank on Shelbyville Road was robbed Friday afternoon. They say one of the suspects -- 29-year-old Michael Benton -- entered the bank with a gun and demanded cash.
He was arrested a short time later, along with two other people -- 22-year-old Branielle (aka Brandy) Allen and 21-year-old Devonte Brightwell.
All three are charged with first degree robbery. Benton is also charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and fleeing or evading police.
Bond for Benton and Brightwell was set at $250,000. Allen's bond was set at $25,000.
All three suspects pleaded not guilty and are due back in court in July.
