LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Detectives in Bullitt County have arrested two men on drug and theft charges.

Police say 39-year-old Danny E. Gaddis and 38-year-old Darryl D. Walston, were arrested early June 26 on suspicion of stealing building materials valued at several thousand dollars from Rivercrest Homearama in Bullitt County.

Police say they found the stolen items in the bed of a pickup truck the two men were in during a traffic stop. After receiving permission from Gaddis to search his residence, police found more stolen items as well as marijuana, marijuana packaging material, cash and a gun.

The stolen items were returned to the builders.

Both men are being held at the Bullitt County Detention Center. Gaddis is charged with theft by unlawful taking, trafficking in marijuana, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

Walston is charged with one count of theft by unlawful taking.
