POLICE: Victim suffers life-threatening injury after being stabbed by Louisville man
Police say that on Saturday, just before 10 p.m., 23-year-old Isaiah W. Smith got into an argument with the victim.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they've arrested a Louisville man after he stabbed an individual, causing life-threatening injuries.
Police say that on Saturday, just before 10 p.m., 23-year-old Isaiah W. Smith got into an argument with the victim. At one point, Smith chased the victim into 3rd Street Road, near Outer Loop.
Police say Smith then cut the victim with a knife, "causing the victim to have a life-threatening injury."
Smith then ran away, throwing away the knife he used, according to the arrest report.
Police say he, "never called police to report the incident."
Smith was arrested on Tuesday afternoon and charged with first degree assault and tampering with physical evidence. He is currently being held in Louisville Metro Corrections.
The identity, gender or condition of the victim is not known.
