LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police have arrested a man after they say he shot his uncle in the face and leg.

According to the arrest warrant, it happened Monday in the 5100 block of Maryview Drive in south Louisville. That's where police were called on reports of domestic violence and shots fired. When officers arrived, they found the victim with gunshot wounds to the face and leg. The victim was taken to University Hospital for treatment, but his injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Witnesses and the victim identified the suspect as 41-year-old Brian Gipson. Police say surveillance video confirms Gipson was at the scene. He was arrested June 29 and charged with one count of assault. According to the arrest report, Gipson is the victim's nephew.

Gipson is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections on a $50,000 full cash bond.
