LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- With less than six hours to go before a government shutdown, Spencer County passed its budget.

Fiscal court members voted 4-2 to approve a new budget, which takes effect at 12:01 a.m.

Officials told WDRB on Wednesday that had a budget not been passed by midnight Thursday, all non-emergency government branches would be shut down.
