LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police have arrested a man after he allegedly tried to rob a man in a parked car in Old Louisville.

Jason Archibald, 42, was arrested on July 4 in the area of East St. Catherine Street and I-65, according to the official police report.

Officials say an officer was dispatched on a call about a strong arm robbery at East St. Catherine Street under the I-65 overpass.

Authorities say the victim was inside his vehicle, which was parked due to a non-injury accident that had taken place at the location earlier.

Police say Archibald allegedly approached the victim, grabbed his clothing, pulled him and yelled "Give me your money!"

Investigators say the victim then pulled out a gun and held Archibald at gunpoint while he called police. Police arrived at the scene and found the victim with a gun drawn and Archibald allegedly walking away with another man.

According to the arrest report, as police were questioning Archibald, the man with him said, "I told you not to mess with that guy!"

Archibald is charged with robbery.

He is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections and is expected in court on July 15.
