Tesla struggling to deliver cars after 'manufacturing ramp-up'

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Tesla is struggling to deliver cars to customers.

The electric car maker says it's only delivered 78 percent of the more than 18,000 cars built in the second quarter.

The company blames the undelivered cars on its "extreme manufacturing ramp-up."

More than 50,000 cars are expected to be shipped in the next six months. That's almost how many cars were distributed in all of last year.

Tesla plans to launch its moderately priced Model 3 at the end of next year.
