LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A compound found in marijuana could help Alzheimer's disease patients.

Researchers say the main psycho-active compound in marijuana removes the protein that gathers in the brains of Alzheimer's disease patients. They say it also helps decrease inflammation.

The scientists say the work is preliminary and still needs to be tested outside a lab.
