At least three people reportedly killed in shooting at Michigan courthouse

ST. JOSEPH, Mi. (FOX NEWS) -- At least three people were killed in a shooting at a courthouse Monday in southwestern Michigan, an employee at the county prosecutor's office told the Detroit Free Press. 

The employee, who wished not to be named, told the newspaper that three people are dead and one person is injured.

Two of the people dead are court bailiffs. The other person dead is the shooter, the employee told the Detroit Free Press.

The shooting took place at the Berrien County Courthouse in St. Joseph, Mich. around 2:30 p.m., Fox 17 reported.

The courthouse has been evacuated, officials told Fox 17.

Michigan State Police in Niles, Michigan told Fox 17 that multiple people have been shot, but would not detail any possible fatalities or conditions. 

Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder announced on Twitter that Michigan State Police has secured the scene, and is beginning its investigation into the shooting.
