LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police in Florida took a lost dog into custody on Monday, according to the Tarpon Springs Police Department Facebook page.

The dog's name was Willow, and she had wandered away from home.

"Willow refused to tell officers where she lived, so she was taken to the PD where she was booked and photographed," the department said in a Facebook post. "She was very cooperative with officers and probably one of the most friendly prisoners we've ever had in custody."

Police add that she was "just a little short" for her booking photo, so she "needed assistance" getting to the right height.

The humorous Facebook post is accompanied by the dog's "booking photo," showing her being held up to the camera by an officer.

The story has a happy ending.

"Luckily, the owners of Willow were located and they came and bonded her out," the Facebook post continues. "She is home safe and sound now."
