NICE, France (WDRB) -- In the span of a week, a woman was at the scene of two violent events that grabbed headlines across the world.
Kristen Crouch says she was in Dallas last week when five officers were shot and killed, and she was in Nice, France Thursday night when a terrorist drove a truck into a crowd, killing 84 people.
Crouch says she ran for safety during Thursday night's attack during Bastille Day celebrations.
During a phone interview Friday, Crouch said she's tired of all the violence.
"I heard like two pops. I thought it was fireworks and then didn't think anything of it, but, all of a sudden, all these people were running in the opposite direction and speaking in French and screaming. It's really sad when you see I've been marked safe twice on Facebook in the last week. We shouldn't live in a world like that," Crouch said.
Crouch says she and her friend escaped last night's attack by running into a nearby apartment.
