Breckinridge County man shoots grandmother with pellet gun

BRECKINRIDGE COUNTY, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man is accused of shooting his grandmother with a pellet gun then barricading himself in a Breckinridge County home for hours.

Officials say Keith Schroader, 29, shot his grandmother in the arm Monday afternoon at a home on KY 86 near Irvington.

After a four-hour long standoff, the Breckinridge County sheriff says Schroader used a rope ladder to leave the home.

He was arrested, and his grandmother was treated for a minor injury.
