CLEVELAND, Ohio (WDRB) -- He is the voice of Big Blue Nation and almost ran for Congress as a Democrat.

But Kentucky Sports Radio's Matt Jones has brought his show to Cleveland to watch Donald Trump become the Republican nominee.

"Every summer we try to go somewhere a little different, and we decided we'd go to the two conventions." Jones said. "We're trying to get people who wouldn't otherwise follow it to follow it over these couple of weeks.

"This scene is kind of wild ... It's fascinating when you get here, to see all this in action, up close. I've had a blast so far."

But Jones admits that being at the Republican National Convention is a kind of like him sitting courtside at a U of L game.

"Most of my audience is conservative, and I am a little more on the left side. But the good thing is I try to be respectful with them, and I think that's why they enjoy it.

"But I will say this, the circus here -- people have to see to believe."
