Posted: Updated:

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WDRB) -- Cows learning to text. It's happening at the University of Kentucky.

A new sensor attached to their tails is helping monitor pregnancy.

It's called Moocall.

When a cow is going into labor, the sensor sends a text and email an hour in advance.

The technology is helping dairy managers be more prepared.

Besides UK, the sensor is used at the University of New Hampshire.
