March planned today in Frankfort to support police, as Ky. Capitol and Governor's Mansion lit in blue

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky's Capitol and Governor's Mansion are being lit in blue lights to show support for law enforcement.

The community is invited to come walk together down Capitol Avenue Thursday at 5:30 p.m. to show support for police.  Bevin is encouraging the public to attend to "show those who protect and serve our communities every day (that) we stand beside them. Let's protect those who protect us." The rally will end on the Capitol steps where speakers will address the crowd.

Folks are encouraged to arrive early and park on top of the capitol garage. Organizers say there will be transportation provided from the garage to the start location.

Governor Matt Bevin posted pictures on social media showing the tribute last night with a hashtag of #ThinBlueLine.  He says both buildings will be lit again Thursday night in blue.
