LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft is back open following ten months of renovations and is hosting its first Family Fun Day Saturday to show off its brand new space.
The downtown museum, located at 715 West Main Street, offers three levels to the public: a community art space called Studio 715, exhibition space and a permanent collection and education studio.
"At KMAC, our mission is to connect people with art and creative practice so they can tell their own stories through art," Ramona Lindsey, Director of Education at KMAC said.
KMAC also offers camps, workshops and field trip opportunities.
The Family Fun Day is Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and free to attend. Admission is free on any other day as well through June 2017, thanks to Delta Dental. For more information about KMAC, click here.
