CLEVELAND (WDRB) -- It will be high drama and high stakes Thursday night as Donald Trump accepts the Republican presidential nomination.

Trump has long been a star, but Thursday will be the biggest TV appearance of his life.

WDRB's Lawrence Smith asked delegates from Kentucky and Indiana what they expect and want to hear.

Jeff Cardwell, Indiana GOP Chairman

"Well I think the question all Americans are asking today is are you safer today than you were eight years ago. I think Donald Trump is gonna talk about safety in America."

Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin

"I want a vision I want vision for America. Without a vision, the people will perish. It's important for our party, and it's important for our nation."

Tara Armstrong, Indiana delegate

"I really don't know what to expect, because he always surprises me, almost every time."

Sen. Mitch McConnell

"I think he's follow a script more often, and I would say to your viewers that there's nothing wrong with that."

Randy Yakin III, Indiana delegate

"We know that America has a lot of problems, but what is his vision to solve those problems? And where does he plan to take our country?

Deanna Brangers, Kentucky delegate

"I'm hoping that he will just talk about some of his successes, the things that he's done in business, some ideas that he wants to bring forth to America."

Nathan Haney, Kentucky delegate

"The economy is a huge issue right now, and I think he's gonna reach out to the middle class. That's the biggest thing for me."

Rex Early, Indiana Trump Campaign Chairman

"He's gonna talk about building a wall. He's gonna talk about the Second Amendment. The same things ... and I love it."
