Two weeks and still no sign of 59-year-old local woman
LMPD on Thursday deployed their air unit over a farm off Westport Road. It was another lead that turned up nothing.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) --The search is still on for 59-year-old Adriane Koch, two weeks after she disappeared.
Multiple law enforcement agencies have been involved in this search. LMPD on Thursday deployed their air unit over a farm off Westport Road. It was another lead that turned up nothing.
Koch was last seen on Woolrich Road near the intersection of Westport Road and Herr Lane. Search efforts continue to focus on eastern Jefferson County.
From day one, the Graymoor-Devondale Police took the lead on locating Koch. Police Chief Grady Throneberry touched on the personal side of the investigation.
"You know, you think about what if it was one of your own family members," Throneberry said.
Koch's niece, Leiah Galowina, says shes spent the past two weeks living with hope mixed with frustration. Her questions outnumber her answers when it comes to her aunts whereabouts.
"I worry about the elements she is facing, if she is not in a safe location, if she doesn't have shelter and with the heat we've had and the rain that we've had and with the storms we've had," Galowina said.
The family says best way to help with leads is to visit the Facebook page, Adriane Koch Search Efforts.
