LACETT | Lamb strikes out ten in Bats win

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) – Where has this John Lamb been all season?

The Cincinnati left-hander struck out ten batters in his first appearance with the Bats since being demoted this week, helping Louisville defeat LeHigh Valley 5-3 Friday night at Slugger Field.

Lamb pitched 5.2 innings for the no-decision. He gave up three earned runs on four hits and walked two batters.

Lamb was assigned to Louisville Sunday after a disastrous outing with the Reds the day before in a loss against Milwaukee. Lamb has a 1-7 record in the Majors this year with a 6.43 ERA.

Despite the win, the Bats were not able to gain any ground in the race for the top spot in the IL West division as Columbus also won Friday. Louisville remains four games out of first place.
