LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Turning dreams into a reality for dozens of children.

A lot of excitement at Slugger Field Saturday as 50 children without beds were each given one.

Those kids received a twin mattress, sheets, and a comforter as part of the "Home To Dream" event.

It's a partnership between Ashley HomeStore, the Louisville Bats and the Salvation Army, to help children in need.

"I'm really excited because I'm gonna be happy to lay down on this and have a nice, comfy bed," Skylar Bohr said.

"When it really sinks in that this is my bed, they see their name on it, they know they get to take this home, the sheer joy that's in their look, or in their eyes, really warms your heart," Ashley Homestore's Todd Garten said.
