LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – The Louisville Bats needed 10 innings and a Scott Schebler 5-for-5 night (which included him hitting for the cycle) to knock off the Charlotte Knights 4-3 at Slugger Field Tuesday night.
Former Louisville Cardinal outfielder Adam Engel was 1-for-5 with a double and a run scored in the Charlotte loss.
The Cincinnati-native was recently called up from Double-A Birmingham and is enjoying his return to Louisville.
“It feels really good to be back,” Engel said before Tuesday night’s game. “It’s been a great experience up here (in Triple-A). There’s a lot of really good guys to learn from in the clubhouse,” he said.
Louisville and Charlotte wrap up the three game series Wednesday night at Slugger Field. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm.
