LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police are investigating after someone drove a stolen Corvette into a gun store in south Louisville early Wednesday.

It happened around 5 a.m. That's when police say officers from LMPD's seventh division responded to an alarm at Tilford's Discount Guns in the 3400 block of Fern Valley Road.

When police arrived, they found the stolen car inside the building.

Police say the suspect or suspects ditched the car and got away with an unknown number of guns.

Police say the store's owner is doing inventory to find out exactly how many firearms were taken.

No injuries were reported, and an inspector was called in to make sure the building is still structurally sound.

Anyone with information is asked to call the LMPD crime tipline at 502-574-LMPD.
