Kevin Harvick's crew chief suspended over lug nut
The crew chief for NASCAR's Kevin Havick will not appeal the suspension for the race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway or the $20,000 fine.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The crew chief for NASCAR's Kevin Harvick has been suspended.
NASCAR suspended Rodney Childers over a lug nut that wasn't installed correctly.
He will not appeal the suspension for the race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, or the $20,000 fine.
The rule was put in place earlier this season because teams were not applying all five lug nuts properly to try to speed up their pit stops.
Childers is the fifth crew chief to be suspended over the new rule.
