Louisville group wants to make impression with art program

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville artist is turning a Portland warehouse into a work of art.

Louisville Visual Art (LVA) wants to make a splash with its new mural art program.

LVA is rolling out its first mural on the side of its building in Portland.

The program is creating a way for local artists and business sponsors to work together to make their space stand out.

Ashley Trommler calls her work "Flourish" for a reason.

Sarah Davis, with LVA, said, "It really embodies what we're going for as an organization and what Portland is going to be as an art district. Together, we can flourish."

LVA has plans to put up four murals across the city each year.

The first one will be unveiled Thursday morning.
