HICKORY, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky State Police have arrested a Hickory, Ky. man on several charges including rape and sodomy.

According to a release, 41-year-old Thomas Elliott was arrested on July 22 on sexual assault charges involving a minor child, after a two-week investigation.

Authorities say they received a call on July 7 that a child had been sexually abused.

Police say Elliott is charged with three counts of rape, seven counts of sodomy and two counts of use of a minor under 16 in a sexual performance.

Elliott is being held in the Graves County Jail.
