LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Promoting peace one step at a time.

Southern Indiana and Louisville residents were invited to participate in a peace walk on the Big 4 Bridge tonight.

Organizers say it was held in light of recent violence across the country.

They say the walk shows that Kentuckiana is coming together in solidarity in its mission for peace.

"When it comes to the unrest in our nation in regards to racial disparity and everything. We want to show that there are still places of peace and there's still unity," Dari'anne Hudson said.

More than 250 were expected to come out to the Peace Walk today.
