Dakota Meyer fires back at Donald Trump on Twitter
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Medal of Honor recipient and Kentucky native Dakota Meyer took to Twitter on Tuesday to speak out against recent comments made by Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
If @realDonaldTrump wants to be the Commander in Chief, he needs to act like one. And that cant start until he apologizes to the Khans.
The comments follow Trump's response to the parents of U.S. Army Capt. Humayun Khan, who spoke last week at the Democratic National Convention in opposition to Trump. The tweet was later re-tweeted by Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
Meyer was awarded the Medal of Honor back in September 2011 for his actions in Afghanistan. He is the son-in-law of Sarah Palin.
