LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The first Hispanic person to be elected to state office in Kentucky will make a big appearance this weekend.

Kentucky State Senator Ralph Alvarado will take the stage at this weekend's Fancy Farm Picnic. The Kentucky political tradition is held at a small Catholic church in western Kentucky.

Alvarado will speak Saturday on behalf of the Trump-Pence Presidential campaign.

He got rave reviews when he was a prime-time speaker at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland last month.
