LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police are investigating after an apparent home invasion early Thursday morning.

According to LMPD spokesman Dwight Mitchell, officers responded to a call of a home invasion in the 4200 block of Wisteria Landing Circle around 7 a.m.

That's where Mitchell says five men forced their way into an apartment. One person inside struggled with the intruders and was grazed by a gunshot. One of the intruders was also shot during the struggle, and left the scene with the other suspects.

Mitchell says the suspect was apparently dropped off at Jewish Hospital East, also with non-life threatening injuries.

The victim of the home invasion was taken to University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The LMPD Major crimes Unit is investigating.
