LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The University of Louisville men's basketball program has its first commitment in the 2017 class.

Malik Williams, a 6-foot-10-inch forward from Fort Wayne, Ind., picked the Cardinals on Thursday.

Williams is the 35th ranked player in the country by Rivals and 30th by Scout. He chose Louisville over several other schools, including Indiana, Georgetown and Michigan State.
