LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A special delivery -- designed to spark an interest in science -- made its way to one JCPS school today.

Chemical company Clariant donated the equipment and supplies for the chemistry lab at Central High School.

The $6,200 donation is a win for both the students and Clariant.

And the company is doing more than just donating supplies to help create interest in careers in science.

"We're also going to be sending chemists here to work with students to get real-world experience of what chemistry can be like in a career," said Whitney Popp, a Clariant engineer.

The partnership could inspire students to apply to Clariant's Chemistry Apprenticeship after graduation, which provides both work experience and tuition payments.
