LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Jefferson County jury has found a man guilty of sexually abusing a younger family member for a number of years.

A jury found Shane Webb guilty of second degree sodomy, third degree rape and four counts of first degree sexual abuse.

The jury recommended a sentence of six years. The judge can accept that recommendation or impose a lesser sentence. The sentencing date has been set for Oct. 13 at 9 a.m. in Division 12.

The indictment says the abuse started in 2007 when the victim was under 12 years old. Webb was charged in February of 2015.

Webb is also known as Richard Peay. He was originally charged with 10 counts of sexual abuse, sodomy and rape.
