LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kosair Charities and Norton Healthcare are officially splitting up after the two parties recently settled a two-year lawsuit.

Specific terms of the agreement are not being made public.

The Kosair name will be removed from the children's hospital and other Norton Healthcare facilities within six months.

Kosair Charities' annual contributions for the children's hospital will be transferred to a separate endowment that will continue to fund 100 percent of the cost of charity care.

Both parties believe the new agreement will benefit Kentucky children.
