LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A manufacturing company with deep roots in Louisville has a new location and wants to grow.
Louisville Plate Glass opened its new plant in the Newburg area today. The company makes big panes of glass that go into commercial buildings.
The new facility means more business and more jobs.
We have about 40 employees here," said Louisville Plate Glass President Bill Stone. "We will probably create another additional 60 jobs over the next couple of years, bringing the total employment to 100. It could be more, but I am going to sit and try to be reasonable."
Stone says the jobs start at $11 or $12 an hour and require basic math skills.
