LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A local woman known for rooting on a youth football team was remembered Friday night.

LaShay Dorsey, 36, was known by her family and friends as "Shay" or "Shay Baby."

Those same family and friends said goodbye to her Friday night at Victory Park.

The vigil for Dorsey looked much different than the scene from Tuesday night at the corner of 26th and Kentucky Streets in the Parkland neighborhood.

Dorsey was one of many people at a 60th birthday party.

Police say three people were shot, including Dorsey, who died from her injuries. They still aren't saying if it was a drive-by, or if someone walked up and opened fire.

Family members at Friday's vigil gave an emotional plea for answers.

"How much more can we take?" asked Marian Dean, Dorsey's cousin. "We just want justice and peace. And yes, whoever needs to be captured, immediately taken off the streets."

Friends and family tell us Dorsey was a lead mom who always helped on out with the Flaget Rams, a local youth football team.

No arrests have been made in this case. Anyone with information is asked to call the anonymous tip line at 574-LMPD.
