LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Some U of L officials offer tips for how incoming freshman can succeed in their first year in college.
The hints focused on study habits, developing a social life and staying healthy.
Karen Newton with Health Promotion Wellbeing Central demonstrated how to keep a pantry in a student's dorm room to stay healthy. She also demonstrated how to keep moving and why 20 mindful minutes are important to mental health.
Tim Moore with the Office of Student Involvement stressed the importance of campus activities as a key to success in college. He pointed out different activities for different interests.
Geoff Bailey, the executive director of Resources for Academic Achievement (REACH), says college should be considered your full-time job and offered some tips concerning good time management.
