INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Indianapolis police are investigating the shooting death of a 16-year-old whose body was found at a gas station.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says officers were called to the gas station after 10 p.m. on Saturday.

Police say detectives believe the victim was a passenger in a vehicle at the gas station when he was shot by an unknown suspect. The victim was found just outside the passenger side of the vehicle.
