Billboard for Mexican restaurant in Indiana stirs up controversy

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Mexican restaurant billboard is stirring up controversy in Indiana.
The South Bend restaurant claims "The Best Mexican Food this side of the Wall."
The head of the Hacienda restaurant calls it political humor, poking fun at Donald Trump's campaign promise to build a border wall between the U.S. and Mexico.
"We don't intend to upset anybody, but we do use humor," Jeff Leslie, executive vice president of Hacienda. "When you use humor, there's going to be some groups that are particularly sensitive to certain things."
But not everyone agrees.
"This isn't the first time that they have had a public outcry over different types of ads that they have run, so part of what makes it worse is that track record that they have," said Sam Centellas, South Bend community leader.
There's no indication that the Trump-inspired billboards will be coming down any time soon.
There are about a dozen Hacienda Mexican restaurants across Indiana.
