LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Scott County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help to find a man in who has allegedly been soliciting middle- and high-school girls online.

According to a news release from the law enforcement agency, 39-year-old Christopher J. Broy is wanted for questioning on multiple allegations of child molestation, child solicitation, sexual misconduct with a minor, possession of child pornography and intimidation.

The sheriff's office, Indiana State Police and U.S. Marshals are all actively involved in the search. Police say there are warrants for Broy's arrest -- originating out of Harrison County, Indiana -- for charges involving sexual misconduct with a minor, child solicitation, possession of child pornography and invasion of privacy.

He is described as 6'-01", weighing approximately 200 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Police describe him as "scruffy at times" with a thin beard and goatee.

"Broy has been allegedly soliciting middle school and high school aged juvenile females through the Facebook Messenger and Snapchat apps," the news release states. "It is believed that Broy is operating under several different Facebook and Snapchat aliases. Facebook has deactivated several of his accounts to date."

According to the Scott County Sheriff's Office, Broy used the following Facebook names:
Chris Broy 
Chris B 
Jeremy J_G 
CJ Aintgivenup

Broy's Snapchat name is "Cjbroy46."

It also appears that Broy has a Twitter account under the handle "Cjbroy46."

"It is important to note that when Broy is operating under an alias on Facebook, he has been known to use fake profile pictures portraying him to be a young boy," the news release adds. "Broy has commonly provided a false age to his victims, ranging from 19-24 years old."

Authorities say they believe Broy knows that there are warrants out for his arrest -- and that he has recently posted to social media indicating that he has a firearm.

He is believed to be armed and dangerous.

According to the news release, Broy is known to frequent Scott, Clark, Floyd and Harrison counties. Anyone who has any information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Scott County Sheriff's Office at (812) 752-8400.
