Indiana National Guard says test results do not confirm pinworm infection

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Indiana National Guard says test results do not confirm that any soldiers are infected with pinworm.

One soldier sent WDRB a picture, saying he believes the rash on his legs is caused by pinworm.

The 76th Infantry Brigade Combat Team is training at Fort Knox and Camp Atterbury.

The Indiana National Guard says it's aware soldiers there reported seeing worms in their stool.

They say test results have not confirmed it is pinworm. As a precaution, several soldiers were given medication, which doctors say can cause skin rashes.
