Layoffs take place at Speed Art Museum
A spokesperson says it was an "unfortunate" move that had to take place for the sake of efficiency.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Speed Art Museum has laid off seven people as it looks to cut costs for next year.
Spokesperson Laura Ross says it's an efficiency move that also includes shifting two workers from full- to part-time. She calls the moves "unfortunate," but says attendance at the museum continues to meet expectations since it reopened in March, after a three-year renovation that cost $60 million.
