LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Jeffersontown Police say a woman is in serious condition after she was assaulted by her boyfriend.
Frank Henry, 48, was arrested Saturday on Willow Court, according to police records.
Police say Henry allegedly "assaulted his live in girlfriend causing pain, swelling and cuts to head and face."
Investigators say the victim said Henry allegedly began hitting her and threw her to the floor in a hallway. Officials say she hit her head "on a corner of the trim causing cuts and bleeding."
EMS came to Locust Avenue, where the incident allegedly happened, and took the victim to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities say Henry was not at the scene, but was located and arrested a short time later on Willow Court.
Police say Henry was initially charged with 4th degree assault, but hospital staff contacted authorities and said the victim had been admitted to ICU with bleeding to the brain. Police also say the victim is in serious condition.
Henry is now charged with first degree assault, as well as wanton endangerment. He is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections on a $75,000 cash bond.
