Man arrested after standoff in Chickasaw neighborhood pleads not guilty

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The man arrested after a police standoff has pleaded not guilty.

Investigators say 45-year-old Michael Broadway tried to run from police, but ended up falling through an apartment ceiling. It happened Saturday in the Chickasaw neighborhood.

Police say the standoff began after Broadway forced himself into an apartment with a gun and shot a person.

He's also accused of shooting at police.

Broadway is a convicted felon and should not have had a gun. He's being held on a $100,000 bond.
