Portion of Fourth Street in downtown Louisville shuts down

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Part of Fourth Street in downtown Louisville will remain closed for the next 22 months.

It's because of construction at the Kentucky International Convention Center.

Fourth Street between Market and Jefferson Streets shut down Monday morning.

One lane of both Market and Jefferson Streets near the convention center will also close.

Third Street will remain open until January.

Construction is expected to be finished in 2018.
