LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) – Louisville City FC head coach James O'Connor is trying to turn over a new leaf.
Days after losing another game in part due to some questionable calls, O'Connor said at his weekly press conference today he is done talking about referees and bad calls.
“For me, I want to get away from talking about the referees,” said O’Connor. “My focus is going to be completely on the players.”
Despite last Friday’s loss to New York, Louisville remains in the hunt for the best record in the USL. Lou City has already clinched a playoff spot but they wouldn’t mind having home field throughout the playoffs.
“I haven’t given up on the league,” said O’Connor . “We don’t have our own fate but we are not going to roll over."
Louisville has five remaining games on its schedule. New York has seven.
Louisville City is back in action Saturday at home against Bethlehem Steel FC.
