LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The honorees have been announced for this year's Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Awards.

Philanthropist and businesswoman Cindy Hensley-McCain will be the recipient of the Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Award for Lifetime Achievement.

Oscar-winning actor Louis Gossett Jr. will be honored with the Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Award for Education.

Actress Sheryl Lee Ralph will be given the Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Award for Global Citizenship.

Singer Jon Secada will be recognized with the Muhammad Ali Humanitarian of the Year Award.

John Rosenberg, an attorney and founding director for the Appalachian Research and Defense Fund of Kentucky, will be awarded the Muhammad Ali Kentucky Humanitarian Award.

Honorees for the Six Core Principle Awards have also been announced.

Josh Nesbit, co-founder and CEO of Medic Mobile, will be honored with the Confidence Award.

Shawana Shah will be given the Conviction Award for her efforts to end gender-based violence in her home country of Pakistan.

Curt Bowen, executive director and co-founder of the non-profit Semilla Nueva, will be recognized with the Dedication Award.

Jakob Schillinger, co-founder of the OneDollarGlasses program, will receive the Giving Award.

Tina Hovsepan, founder and executive director of Cardborigami, will be presented with the Respect Award.

Navonel Glick Voni, chief operating officer of IsraAID, will receive the Spirituality Award.

Craig Melvin, of NBC News and MSNBC, will serve as the emcee for the awards.

The awards will be presented at a ceremony in Louisville on Sept. 17.
