LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A fisherman has kept a valuable secret under his bed for the past 10 years.

The giant pearl weighs 75 pounds and is estimated to be worth around $100 million. A fisherman discovered it inside a giant clam in the Philippines about a decade ago.

Family members say the man forgot about the pearl until he moved recently.

Gemologists still need to verify its weight and value.

Until last week, the pearl of Lao Tzu was considered the largest pearl in the world. It was also found in the Philippines and weighs 14 pounds.
